Property Accountant

Full service boutique commercial real estate firm providing investment, leasing, and management services to investors and tenants in DFW. We also specialize in the acquisition and disposition of land, multifamily, office, industrial, and retail properties.

Our team is searching for a Property Accountant. This is a permanent position, offering the right candidate a chance to be part of a driven team of professionals in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment. The Property Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the accounting aspects of our real estate portfolio, which includes commercial, industrial, and mixed-use properties.

Responsibilities
1. Managing and executing all aspects of the day-to-day accounting operations for our properties, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries,
2. Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
3. Conducting regular audits and reviews to verify the accuracy of financial data and procedures, identifying and correcting any discrepancies
4. Collaborating with property management teams to develop budgets, forecast financial outcomes, and make strategic financial decisions

Qualifications
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 1 year of experience in property accounting or public experience
3. Proficiency in property management software, specifically Yardi or MRI
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate complex financial information in a clear and understandable manner.
