Job Details

A day in the life of a Senior Accountant:
The Senior Accountant supports the accounting department in areas focused on the reporting, reconciliation, and processing of financial transactions, including interdepartmental and inter-company transaction reconciliation.

This position is remote, so the ideal candidate will be able to work from home full-time and manage responsibilities efficiently.

  • Financial reporting – prepare financial statements and supporting schedules
  • Prepare month-end account reconciliations and journal entries to record financial activity
  • Budget-to-actual variance analysis
  • Work closely with FP&A and Treasury departments
  • General ledger and subsidiary ledger reconciliation
  • Review, approve, and process financial transactions
  • Assist in annual and interim audits, providing supporting documentation and communicating with auditors
  • Ad hoc reporting and process documentation
  • Other duties as assigned

Education, Work Experience & Skills, and Abilities:
  • BS in Accounting
  • 4 years of accounting experience
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • A mix of Public and Private Experience preferred
  • CPA preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word
  • Experience with Yardi preferred
  • Experience in real estate, preferably rental property preferred
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
