This is a critical role that will oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the construction industry, including experience with payment releases, NTOs, payroll, and financial records. This role requires a hands-on individual with strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in financial management.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations of the company, including the development and management of budgets, preparation of financial statements, and reporting to company executives.
- Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
- Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation.
- Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
- Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports.
- Manage the preparation of the company's budget and financial forecasts, reporting any variances.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Perform and oversee the monthly tasks of validating data integrity, monitoring revenue recognition, producing financial statements, and providing analytical review.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably within the construction industry.
- Proficient in accounting software, with advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws, and regulations.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices.
- Hands-on experience with cash flow management, corporate budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
- Ability to strategically plan and manage finances.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses.
- Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
- Proven experience managing finance (cash flow, budgeting, forecasting) within a construction environment.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
