We are seeking an experienced Accountant III to join our rapidly growing management company based in Turlock, CA. This is a full-time position that requires the candidate to have a minimum of 4+ years of experience in general ledger, journal entries, crop accounting, expense allocation, month-end close, assist with annual budgeting, audit responses, ad hoc reporting, and property tax knowledge. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our company and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the general ledger and prepare journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Oversee crop accounting and expense allocation to ensure accurate and timely reporting
• Assist with month-end close activities, including reconciliations and financial analysis
• Help with annual budgeting and forecasting activities, including variance analysis and reporting
• Respond to audit inquiries and provide necessary documentation to auditors
• Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses as needed to support decision-making
• Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance
• Provide property tax knowledge and support to ensure timely and accurate property tax filings

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred
• 4+ years of experience in general ledger, journal entries, crop accounting, expense allocation, month-end close, assist with annual budgeting, audit responses, ad hoc reporting, and property tax knowledge
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
