Overview
Support financial operations, treasury, and accounting functions for equity compensation programs and partnership structures within an alternative investment firm. Role is heavily weighted toward capital activity and treasury operations rather than traditional accounting.
Key Responsibilities
Manage capital activity: capital calls, contributions, distributions, wires, and daily cash management
Reconcile partner/capital accounts and process partner distributions
Prepare GL reconciliations, journal entries, and support month-end close
Support treasury/banking functions and liquidity management
Assist with partner reporting, allocations, and financial analyses
Support transition from quarterly to monthly reporting cycles
Interface with internal/external stakeholders; assist with ad hoc projects
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
3–5 years' experience in public accounting, private equity, alternative investments, partnership accounting, fund administration, or equity compensation programs
Intermediate/advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, HLOOKUP)
Experience with CRM platforms, general ledgers, and large databases
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and client-service mindset
Exposure to leverage/loan facilities a plus
