Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Accountant to join our Accounting + Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute their expertise in a fast-paced, innovative environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with a preference for those who have worked in the healthcare industry or non-profit organizations. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and a strong understanding of financial analysis. An MBA is a desirable qualification, as well as CPA certification.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
• Assist with the preparation of financial analysis reports, developing and maintaining department budgets and generating cost reports.
• Manage the preparation and publication of departmental and organization financial documents.
• Collaborate with external auditors and HR departments, manage payroll and company ledgers.
• Participate in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling for senior company leadership.
• Maintain company accounting procedures and processes.
• Present financial reporting and potential risk areas to senior management.
• Ensure company financial systems are compliant with all relevant regulations and policies.
• Provide leadership and support to accounts receivable and accounts payable departments.
• Identify areas for cost reductions and operational improvements.
• Provide detailed analyses and explanations of all transactions.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounting or a related field.
• An MBA degree is a plus.
• CPA certification is preferred.
• A background in the healthcare industry is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in a non-profit organization is beneficial.
• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial analysis, fiscal management, and financial reporting.
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to direct and supervise.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Proficiency with accounting software and experience with a software system implementation a plus.
