We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in the Accounting + Finance industry. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to work in the construction sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction accounting, including WIP, project cost accounting, cost accounting, AIA, and change orders. This position is perfect for someone with a strong background in accounting who is looking to apply their skills in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
Responsibilities:
As an Accounting Manager, your primary duties will include:
1. Overseeing all construction accounting operations for our company, including WIP, project cost accounting, cost accounting, AIA, and change orders.
2. Developing and implementing effective accounting strategies and processes to ensure financial stability and growth.
3. Preparing and presenting financial reports and statements to company executives and stakeholders.
4. Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
5. Collaborating with project managers and other staff to forecast financial needs and set budgets.
6. Identifying and addressing financial risks and opportunities for the company.
7. Providing guidance and training to accounting staff to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
8. Working with external auditors and managing internal audits.
9. Regularly reviewing and updating the company's accounting policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Accounting Manager role should possess the following qualifications:
1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the construction industry.
3. Proven experience with construction accounting, WIP, project cost accounting, cost accounting, AIA, and change orders.
4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and industry standards.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
7. Proficiency in using accounting software and other relevant computer applications.
8. Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
9. The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
