We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager (CPA required) with a strong background in fixed assets to oversee financial reporting, compliance, and asset management for our client’s global operations. This role will play a key part in ensuring accurate accounting for capital expenditures, depreciation, and asset lifecycle management while maintaining compliance with IFRS/GAAP standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
Oversee the accounting and reporting of fixed assets, ensuring accuracy and adherence to IFRS/GAAP and internal policies.
Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing reconciliations and journal entries related to capital expenditures and depreciation.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and support external and internal audits.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance accounting processes and controls.
Fixed Asset Management:
Maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and asset retirement obligations.
Partner with operations and finance teams to track capital projects, monitor spending, and assess asset impairments.
Provide financial analysis and reporting on capital investments and asset utilization.
Leadership & Process Improvement:
Lead a team of accounting professionals, providing mentorship and technical guidance.
Drive process improvements, automation, and best practices in fixed asset accounting.
Partner with FP&A, Tax, and Treasury teams to align financial reporting with strategic business objectives.
Qualifications:
CPA required (active license).
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
5+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on fixed assets, capital expenditures, and financial reporting.
Strong knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP.
Experience in the renewable energy, manufacturing, or infrastructure sectors is a plus.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and strong Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment.
