Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee the financial operations of our growing retail brand. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and optimizing financial processes. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in retail or e-commerce accounting, and the ability to lead a team effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • Manage journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
  • Maintain and track fixed assets, including depreciation schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audits, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Monitor cash flow, budgets, and forecasts to support business decision-making.
  • Implement and optimize accounting systems and internal controls to improve efficiency.
  • Support the CFO and leadership team with financial analysis and reporting.
  • Lead and mentor junior accounting staff, providing training and guidance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, operations, and marketing) to support financial initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA certification is a plus).
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in retail, e-commerce, or a product-based industry.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Excel.
  • Experience with inventory accounting, cost of goods sold (COGS), and retail financial metrics.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing a team.

Work Environment:
  • Onsite role – primarily in-office in Miami, FL (Wynwood area) with some flexibility.
  • Fast-paced, collaborative environment in a growing retail brand.
