Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Payroll Management: You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payments to employees. This includes reviewing timesheets, calculating wages, and coordinating with HR to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

2. Leadership: As the Accounting Manager, you will lead a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and support. You will foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth.

3. Month-End Close: You will assist in the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This includes reviewing and reconciling accounts, preparing journal entries, and analyzing financial data to identify trends and variances.

4. Year End Reconciliation Review: You will oversee the year-end reconciliation process, ensuring all accounts are properly reconciled and discrepancies are resolved. You will work closely with auditors to provide necessary documentation and support during the audit process.

5. Accounts Payable: You will oversee the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments. This includes reviewing and approving invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and resolving any payment discrepancies.



Qualifications:

1. Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role is required. You must have a strong background in payroll management, month-end close, and accounts payable. Experience in the nonprofit industry is highly desirable.

2. Leadership Skills: You must have proven leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building relationships and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

3. Analytical Skills: You must possess excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends and variances. Attention to detail and a strong understanding of accounting principles are crucial for accurate financial reporting.

4. Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel is essential. Experience with payroll software and ERP systems is highly desirable.

5. Education: A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required. A CPA designation is preferred but not mandatory.
