Job Details

The Accounting Manager will assist the Chief Financial Officer in the preparation of monthly financial reports, annual audits, annual budgets, and other accounting and finance related projects and reports. Working with the Chief Financial Officer, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for developing an Accounting Policies and Procedures Manual.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage/perform various accounting activities, including:
  • Inventories
  • Fixed assets
  • Bank account reconciliations
  • Other balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Month-end and year-end general ledger closings
  • Year-end audit schedules
  • Annual budgeting
  • Audit and process invoices
  • Prepare weekly check runs
  • Prepare bank deposits
  • Address and respond to vendor inquiries
  • Reconcile expense accounts
  • Assist with audit support as necessary.


Qualifications:

  • Degree in accounting or a combination of relevant education and accounting experience required. CPA certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience is required.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and computerized accounting systems is required.
  • Although non-profit and/or healthcare experience is not required, it would be a plus.


Eligibility and experience:

  • Must have prior or current experience as an Adult Day Director OR strong experience and knowledge of the industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulations and compliance.
  • Must be highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and able to prioritize required duties and tasks.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Prior nonprofit and/or healthcare experience preferred, not required.
