Accounting Manager

Long-standing Real Estate Company with holdings in excess of $3 billion, whose primary business activities include real estate development, real estate ownership and management, commercial real estate lending, venture capital and private equity, and vineyards and wineries.

The Accounting Manager is responsible for the full-cycling accounting of specific entities

Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Review financial statements provided by management companies
• Maintain debt amortization schedules and coordinate the payment of debt service
• Manage fixed assets
• Book monthly recurring journal entries (depreciation, amortization, etc.)
• Ensure all intercompany transactions are properly recorded and intercompany accounts balance
• Coordinate the payment of sales taxes and other invoices
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

 Manage specific development projects, including budget versus actual reporting with variance analysis, capital funding and cost allocations, and equity and debt commitment requirements
 Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements
 Prepare various monthly management reporting schedules

Qualifications
 B.A./B.S. degree in accounting or finance.
 CPA is preferred
 2 - 5 years of experience in the industry
 Real Estate experience preferred
 Relevant accounting and financial reporting experience in real estate operations and development
