Accounting Manager

Based in the Boston area, we are 100% remote company seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounting Manager to join our dynamic finance team!

**Must live in a commutable distance to Boston for quarterly check ins.

As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our company, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing financial analysis to support business decisions. The ideal candidate must have experience with FX Accounting, Lease accounting, and CPA.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP and IFRS.
• Manage the company's budget and forecast process, working closely with department heads to develop and monitor budgets and forecasts.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide financial analysis to support business decisions, including cost-benefit analysis, ROI analysis, and variance analysis.
• Manage the company's tax compliance, including federal and state income tax returns, sales and use tax returns, and property tax returns.
• Manage the company's cash flow, including cash forecasting and management of banking relationships.
• Manage the company's FX accounting, including hedging strategies and compliance with ASC 830.
• Manage the company's lease accounting, including compliance with ASC 842.
• Manage the company's external audit and internal control processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA certification required.
• 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the construction industry.
• Experience with FX accounting and lease accounting required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
