Job Details
Jobot is partnering with a growing Colorado based construction/HVAC/Plumbing organization to staff a position as an Accounting Manager. The Accounting Manager provides overall support for accounting management, formulating internal controls and policies, preparing financial statements, managing journal entries, assisting in budgeting, and forecasting, and reviewing accounting information for accuracy.
If you have a Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance, 4+ years of progressive, full cycle accounting experience, skilled in pay applications, AIA billing, WIP, balance sheet reconciliations and month end close, possess excellent attention to detail, are deadline driven and organized, have strong technical skills with MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, etc. ) and ERP platforms, are personable, communicative and a great team player, enjoy working in a fast paced environment with a growing organization than this could be an excellent opportunity for you. - Provides a broad range of administrative support functions for management which include coordinating office communications, tracking budgets, purchasing, scheduling, and workflow
- Prepare and analyze accurate financial statements, reports, and forecasts
- Conduct periodic financial reviews to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
- Provide insightful analysis and recommendations to management based on financial data
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and company policies
- Monitor and reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Complete month-end close, adhering to deadlines and appropriate backup documentation
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements
- Assist with external audits and provide necessary documentation and support
- Evaluate and recommend enhancements to financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Streamline and automate financial processes where possible to increase productivity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and ensure data integrity
