Job Details:

As a Permanent Accounting Manager, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment in the finance industry. This role provides a unique chance to lead a dynamic team and play a pivotal part in the financial success of the company. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our accounting department, ensuring that all financial aspects of our business are accurate and up-to-date. This role requires a highly motivated, detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
2. Manage and supervise accounting department employees; responsible for day-to-day supervision and leadership.
3. Maintain and improve processes and controls associated with manufacturing costs and inventory valuation.
4. Lead and manage the monthly financial close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting of all monthly financial information.
5. Prepare and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
6. Manage the preparation of payroll for personnel; keep track of hour rates, wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information etc.
7. Assist in the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting any variances to the management.
8. Ensure compliance with all internal processes and relevant regulations and ensure all company financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation.
9. Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
2. Professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, or CPA) preferred.
3. 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting management within the finance industry.
4. In-depth knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software.
5. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
6. High proficiency in financial reporting including monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
7. Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
8. High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
9. Excellent leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
10. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
12. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
13. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
