We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in our Accounting and Finance department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our accounting department, ensuring that all financial aspects of the company are in order and compliant with regulations. This role requires a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and a strong ability to manage and lead a team.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
2. Manage and supervise the accounting department functions with a team of professionals.
3. Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
4. Review and analyze the organization's financial reports and seek ways to reduce costs.
5. Work closely with auditors to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
6. Develop budgets in accordance with the requirements of company departments.
7. Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation.
8. Collaborate with external auditors and HR departments, create and maintain budgets.
9. Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports.
10. Prepare and present financial reports to board members, stakeholders, executives, and clients in formal meetings.
11. Stay updated on industry trends and changes to accounting rules and regulations.
12. Conduct regular ledger reconciliation and manage month-end and year-end close processes.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a managerial accounting role.
3. Proven experience in managing a team and strong leadership skills.
4. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
6. Experience with a software system implementation is a plus.
7. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
10. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
11. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
