Job Details

Responsibilities:

As our Accounting Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1. Overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded in line with company policies and regulations.
2. Managing the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including Profit and Loss Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement.
3. Ensuring the accurate and timely filing of all tax returns, and coordinating audits as necessary.
4. Maintaining the general ledger system, and overseeing the management of fixed assets.
5. Developing and implementing effective accounting procedures and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
6. Preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with other department heads.
7. Providing financial analysis and advice to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
8. Ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and standards, and staying up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and legislation.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the role of Accounting Manager, the candidate must meet the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within the Accounting + Finance industry.
3. Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks), with a strong understanding of general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
5. Excellent analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate financial reports.
6. Proven experience in managing fixed assets and preparing financial statements.
7. Experience in tax filing and compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
8. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team to meet tight deadlines.
9. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
