Job Details

Description
The Accounting and Payroll Manager is responsible for the weekly posting of payroll. All employee master file set-up. Weekly AP reporting for payment approval as well as weekly ap payments to vendors and asset management. This role is responsible for all Asset set-up and removals. You will be responsible for paying all payroll taxes as well as sales tax to include all monthly, quarterly or yearly reporting. Beyond direct duties you will learn other functions of accounting in Acumatica and company processes in order to be a back up to the CFO at times when needed.

Payroll Duties:
Prepare and process weekly payroll for over 50 employees
Review accuracy of timesheet
Coordinate efforts between Human Resources and other departments to ensure the accuracy of payroll garnishments and deductions
Prepare and distribute detailed payroll reports, (e.g. overtime, leave balances, head counts, retirement contributions)
Issue and cancel employee credit cards as needed

Accounts Payable Duties:
Review and verify invoices and check requests
Set invoices up for payment
Track expenses and process expense reports
Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
Prepare and perform check runs
Post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records
Reconcile accounts payable transactions
Prepare analysis of accounts
Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
Maintain vendor files
Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
Produce monthly reports
Assist with month end closing
Provide supporting documentation for audits
File and pay sales tax
Process employee credit card expense transactions
Reconcile all credit card and bank accounts

Fixed Asset Duties
Record and set up files for new asset purchases
Add purchases to appropriate Excel worksheets
Record and archive files for retired or sold assets
Monitor and renew vehicle tags
Issue Fuel Cards

Job Qualifications and Skills:
Excellent skills using Excel, MS Word, and accounting/payroll software.
Excellent problem solving/judgment skills
Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet necessary deadlines
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Strong Skills using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated accounting system (Acumatica Experience a strong plus)
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
Ability to work with a team
