Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Houston, TX (Northwest Houston); schedule flexibility
Salary range: $23-$26/hour

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for performing assigned clerical and accounting duties in an efficient and professional manner.

• Supports accounting department in completing basic bookkeeping and accounting tasks.
• Supplies accurate reports for management.
• Suggests improvements in processes to increase effectiveness of unit.
• Verifies accuracy of vendor invoices prior to entering in accounting system.
• Applies proper expense coding on vendor invoices.
• Reconciles vendor statements for accuracy.
• Data-entry - AP invoices associated with POs.
• Verification of correct costs & quantities on AP invoice entry.
• Match A/P invoices with A/P checks.
• Reconcile vendor statements.
• Weekly reconciliation of unbilled receiving summary. Request invoices from vendors as necessary.
• Invoice customers daily distribute via mail & email
• Weekly data-entry from approved Syteline attendance summaries to Excel payroll work sheet.
• Maintain accounting work stations in a neat and organized manner.
• File AP and AR invoices (minimum weekly basis).
