Job Details

The Financial Services Coordinator I plays a key role in managing credit and collections processes, ensuring timely resolution of past-due balances, order releases, and cash/credit issues. This position is responsible for coordinating the resolution of customer disputes related to trade receivables. The role requires regular collaboration with internal teams including credit, finance, sales, sales operations, customer service, and warehouse staff, as well as direct communication with customers.

Position Details:
  • Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST.
  • Location: Remote position; must be within one hour of Kernersville, NC.
  • Training: On-site training required for the first 30 days.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct an average of 40 customer interactions daily, resolving issues through email and phone
maintaining accurate records of collection activities.
  • Exercise sound judgment in releasing customer orders based on established policies to support both the
company’s financial health and customer care.
  • Maintain and update customer information, including AP contacts, decision-makers, and key organizational contacts.
  • Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to resolve disputes and ensure timely payments.
  • Work closely with our sales team to negotiate customer payments, address product placement, and resolve any billing concerns.
  • Prepare and maintain on-time reports, including aging analysis, cash/credit resolutions, and customer disputes.
  • Assist in the training of new Financial Services Coordinators and provide backup coverage for various tasks within the department.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.
  • 4+ years' credit and collections experience, preferably related to tangible products. Experience in healthcare is a plus.

Skills:
o Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
o Strong negotiation skills and sound decision-making abilities.
o Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite
o Typing speed of 60 WPM and 8,000 ten-key keystrokes per hour.
o Ability to analyze data and consider feedback constructively.
