Job Details:
We are seeking a AP/AR Specialist to join our dynamic team in the cannabis industry. This role offers an incredible opportunity to utilize and develop your financial skills in a fast-paced, innovative environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing both accounts payable and receivable, ensuring the accuracy of vendor payments, and contributing to financial decision-making. This position requires a keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all facets of the Accounts Payable/Receivable functions.
• Handle vendor payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist with Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, collections, and revenue recognition.
• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills to create financial reports and conduct data analysis.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
• Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Regularly review processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with the finance team to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Assist in financial audits and implement audit recommendations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable/Receivable or a similar role, preferably in the Manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups, and complex formulas.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, particularly in relation to accounts payable and receivable.
• Experience with vendor payments and financial data analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
