Job Requirements
- Manage and maintain the drawing library for standard home plans, including electrical layouts and option sheets.
- Prepare, update, and organize construction documents using company-provided software for new single-family homes.
- Coordinate plans and specifications with sales teams, subcontractors, site supervisors, and office staff.
- Review and update plans from external architects to ensure they align with company standards.
- Prepare plans for survey approval and truss bids, ensuring proper communication with relevant parties.
- Distribute plans to subcontractors as needed.
- Maintain and update project information within BuilderTREND, including job creation, plan management, and subcontractor verification.
- Compile and submit plans and specifications for building permit applications to local authorities.
- Work closely with site supervisors and subcontractors to address necessary plan modifications.
- Handle orders for trusses, lumber, windows, and exterior doors.
- Coordinate gas and electrical utility orders.
- Distribute final plans and specifications to the office and field teams.
- Generate PDFs of elevations and floor plans for marketing materials.
- Convert AutoCAD plans into Revit.
General Responsibilities
- Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices, implementing new methods as needed.
- Adhere to company policies, including safety guidelines and professional standards.
- Maintain brand consistency when communicating with external parties, including clients, government agencies, and vendors.
- Foster positive working relationships across departments and with external partners.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of experience drafting wood frame construction (single family, multi family or commercial)
- Valid driver’s license
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, BuilderTREND, AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Acrobat
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects
- Self-motivated and team-oriented approach
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
- Professional communication skills, both written and verbal
