Assistant Controller (Hybrid Remote)

Highly motivated and experienced Assistant Controller needed in Winston Salem, you can work from home up to 3 days a week! The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our organization and ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported. This is a permanent position with excellent growth opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial operations of the organization, including accounting, tax, and manufacturing.
• Ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported in accordance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
• Manage the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, including the development of financial models and analysis of variances.
• Prepare and file tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and property tax.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial professionals.
• Provide financial analysis and support to senior management and other departments as needed.
• Ensure that all financial reports and records are accurate, complete, and timely.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in a Controller or similar role in the finance industry
• Possession of data skills, analytics & data visualization
