We are a rapidly growing property development team in search of an Assistant Controller to strengthen our Finance & Accounting departments. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role is pivotal in managing accounting functions, ensuring compliance with company-wide policies, and delivering professional accounting services.

- Collaborative Role: Work closely with the Controller, supporting various financial aspects of our organization and gaining valuable insights into financial operations.
- Generate and analyze financial reports for multiple entities.
- Assist property managers in financial analysis and portfolio property budget management.
- Complete monthly and quarterly financial statement reporting packages for multiple entities.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly variance analysis reports for each property in the portfolio.
- Support year-end tax compliance, collaborating with external CPA firms.
- Evaluate, design, implement, and monitor internal financial controls, accounting processes, and policies.
- Oversee bank loan reconciliations, monthly AR and AP Aging.
- Collaborate with the Controller on various financial matters of the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience.
- Preferred experience in multifamily, office, or retail real estate accounting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, accrual basis accounting, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Windows operating systems.
- Demonstrate self-motivation and independence in problem-solving.
- Exhibit strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
