We have several waste-to-energy facilities, transfer stations, ash monofills, landfills, and fleets of rail cars and collection vehicles. We are looking for Plant Operators and Assistant Plant Operators in the north east region. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in power plant operation, plant operation, steam generation, shear pins, and waste management.
Our facility is currently looking for a Plant Operator who is confident and enthusiastic individual will maintain a safe, environmentally compliant, and efficient boiler operation including maintaining productive boiler combustion, steam flows, and optimize generation, burnout, in-plant power combustion, and flue gas emissions.

Job Details
As an Assistant Plant Operator, your primary duties will include:
1. Assisting in the operation and maintenance of power plant equipment to ensure continuous power supply.
2. Monitoring plant operations, identifying any irregularities, and taking corrective actions as necessary.
3. Assisting in the operation of steam generation equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
4. Maintaining the plant's shear pins, replacing them as necessary, and ensuring they are in good working condition.
5. Participating in waste management activities, ensuring that waste is properly disposed of in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
6. Assisting in the preparation of reports on plant operations, maintenance activities, and waste management.
7. Collaborating with other team members to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the plant.
8. Participating in training and development activities to enhance your skills and stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
1. A minimum of 2 years' experience in power plant operation, plant operation, steam generation, shear pins, and waste management.
2. A strong understanding of the principles and practices of power plant operation.
3. Proven experience in operating and maintaining steam generation equipment.
4. Familiarity with the use and maintenance of shear pins.
5. Experience in waste management, with knowledge of waste disposal standards and regulations.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address issues promptly.
7. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
8. A commitment to continuous learning and development, with the willingness to participate in training and development activities.
9. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with the capacity to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
