Responsibilities:

As an Assistant Project Manager, your duties will include but are not limited to:

1. Assisting the Project Manager in planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
2. Coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan.
3. Drafting and submitting budget proposals, recommending subsequent budget changes when necessary.
4. Effectively communicating project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear manner.
5. Liaising with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis, managing their expectations and addressing their needs and concerns.
6. Assisting in the preparation of project status reports, and keeping the Project Manager and others informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations.
7. Conducting project review meetings and documenting project status and action items.
8. Handling RFI's, change orders, and other project-related documentation.
9. Ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within the scope, and within budget.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Assistant Project Manager role should possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in an Assistant Project Manager role or similar within the construction industry.
2. Proven experience in civil construction, underground utility construction, concrete infrastructure, and civil sitework.
3. Strong understanding and experience with project coordination.
4. Excellent knowledge of construction processes, means and methods, knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
5. Proficient in handling Requests for Information (RFI) and other project-related documentation.
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively manage relationships with team members and stakeholders.
7. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
8. A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field would be advantageous.
