Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Project Manager to join our team of construction professionals. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the successful execution of commercial multifamily projects, overseeing various aspects of project management, including field and office engineering coordination, budget management, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.



Project Coordination:
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to establish project objectives, timelines, and scope.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules, ensuring adherence to deadlines and milestones.
  • Coordinate project activities between field engineers, office engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

Engineering Team Management:
  • Provide leadership and guidance to field engineers and office engineers, ensuring efficient communication and collaboration.
  • Assign tasks, set expectations, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of engineering activities.
  • Facilitate technical problem-solving and provide support to resolve engineering challenges on-site and in the office.

Budget Management:
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and Project Accountant to establish project budgets and cost estimates.
  • Monitor project expenditures, track costs, and assist in the preparation of accurate financial reports.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend value engineering options without compromising quality.

Quality Assurance:
  • Work closely with the quality control team to ensure that project work adheres to industry standards and company quality policies.
  • Conduct regular inspections and reviews to verify work quality and compliance with project specifications.

Documentation and Reporting:
  • Manage the preparation and maintenance of project documentation, including RFIs, change orders, submittals, and progress reports.
  • Generate accurate and timely reports detailing project status, budget performance, and engineering progress.

Communication and Collaboration:
  • Foster open lines of communication with project stakeholders, including clients, design teams, subcontractors, and internal team members.
  • Act as a point of contact for engineering-related inquiries and provide timely responses to ensure smooth project operations.
