Job Details

Assistant Project Superintendent's responsibility includes assisting the Project Superintendent with the overall day-to-day supervision of field related construction activities for one or a small number of construction projects. Responsibilities include: working directly with clients to complete current and ongoing punch list and warranty items; assist in directing craft personnel and subcontractors; scheduling and sequencing the day to day activities of work; overseeing individual projects to assure compliance with the scope and quality as established by the contract documents; enforcement of site cleanliness and safety programs; proactively anticipate and solve problems that could delay construction

Work directly with clients to complete pre-closing punch lists and post warranty items.
Assist the Project Superintendent in managing and supervising all subcontractors.
Assist with the processing of daily field reports, job photos, and invoices to forward to accounting.
Perform consistent quality-control checks.
Oversee all aspects of assigned construction projects and ensure that work proceeds smoothly, on schedule and within required project specifications.
Assist the Project Superintendent in scheduling all day to day activities and maintaining a project schedule.
Effectively communicate daily between the Project Superintendent, team and subcontractors.
Walk projects and units for completion, generating and managing punch lists and ensuring work is completed in accordance with plans and in a timely manner.
Promote and maintain a culture that values safety, health and cleanliness.
Be deadline driven, punctual and respect people's time.
Assist with job site clean-up; sweeping, vacuuming, product protection and trash pick-up when needed.
Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report incidents, injuries and unsafe work practices to management; complete safety training and certifications. Maintain files of Safety Data Sheets and follow safe work practices.
Other duties as assigned.


EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND CERTIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED is preferred; currently enrolled in or a recent graduate with a degree in Construction Management is preferred.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Two (2) years of related construction experience or a combination of education, training and/or experience is preferred; general knowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling and cost control procedures, general contract, general conditions, subcontract, documents, drawings and specifications is preferred; must have basic computer skills and competency in the following, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook; must have strong organization skills; must have clear, concise written and verbal communication skills and a high attention to detail; must have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
