We are seeking an ambitious and talented Sr. Associate for a Permanent position on a Partner Track. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic and innovative legal team working on high-profile cases. The successful candidate will be a key player in our firm, conducting legal research, handling litigation and commercial litigation, taking and defending depositions, and participating in courtroom trials.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct thorough and detailed legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
2. Manage cases from initial review and investigation through trial, ensuring effective and efficient progression.
3. Handle a variety of commercial litigation matters, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and pre-trial motions.
4. Take and defend depositions, demonstrating a keen ability to extract and provide key information.
5. Represent clients in courtroom trials, presenting arguments and evidence with clarity, confidence, and professionalism.
6. Collaborate with team members, sharing knowledge and insights, and contributing to a supportive and inclusive team culture.
7. Display a growth mindset, seeking regular feedback and pursuing ongoing professional development opportunities.
8. You will be able to take ownership in trials and not be required to hand the case over to a senior partner!

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Associate Attorney - Commercial Litigation

1. A Juris Doctor degree from a Top 20 accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar.
3. A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in the legal field, with a focus on litigation and commercial litigation.
4. Proven experience taking and defending depositions.
5. Experience in courtroom trials.
6. Strong legal research skills, with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of legal principles and procedures.
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly and persuasively.
8. Strong interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
9. A resilient and confident approach, with the humility to accept feedback and the drive to continuously improve.
10. An entrepreneurial spirit, with a willingness to take on new challenges and a passion for disrupting the status quo in the pursuit of excellence.
11. Average billable hours range from 1800-2000 hours
12. Top 20 law school with top grades (transcript needed)
13. Law Review and Federal Clerkship preferred
