We are currently seeking an experienced Associate Attorney specializing in Construction and Complex Litigation to join our dynamic legal team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile cases and to be part of a team that is committed to delivering top-quality legal services. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in all aspects of construction law, complex litigation, and eDiscovery. The ability to handle a high volume of cases, manage multiple priorities and deadlines, and deliver superior client service is essential.
Responsibilities
As a Permanent Associate Attorney - Construction and Complex Litigation, you will:
1. Handle all aspects of construction litigation, including construction defect, construction insurance claims, and construction disputes.
2. Conduct extensive and detailed legal research, analysis, and writing on complex matters related to construction law.
3. Manage all phases of discovery, including eDiscovery, and take and defend depositions.
4. Represent clients in court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
5. Negotiate settlements for legal disputes.
6. Comply with all legal standards and regulations.
7. Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, opinions, and other legal documents.
8. Communicate with clients and opposing counsel in a professional manner.
9. Participate in business development activities, including client meetings and presentations.
10. Stay current with the latest developments in construction law and complex litigation.
Qualifications
1. Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the State Bar.
3. Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Associate Attorney, with a focus on Construction Law and Complex Litigation.
4. Proven experience with construction litigation, including construction defect, construction insurance claims, and construction disputes.
5. Strong experience in eDiscovery, including managing large volumes of data and understanding the technical aspects of managing eDiscovery.
6. Experience taking and defending depositions.
7. Federal Contract Experience is a plus.
8. Proven track record of managing multiple, complex litigation cases.
9. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
10. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
11. High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
12. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve complex disputes in favor of clients.
13. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
14. Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
