Seeking a litigation attorney in busy law firm in civil defense. We are seeking an attorney with 3-5 years in civil defense, this will be for our general liability practice. Candidates must have experience in billing for their time and have prior experience in writing briefs. A focus in general liability is desired.

Responsibilities:

Litigate civil actions
Manage caseload under supervision of Partner
Prepare pleadings; Draft and argue motions/briefs
Construct and implement discovery plan; propound and respond to written discovery; taking and defending depositions; and manage document intensive cases


Qualifications:

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

Licensed to practice law in New York
Strong oral advocacy skills
Strong legal writing and research skills
Knowledge of trial procedure and evidence code
