Unlawful Detainer Associate Attorney
📍 In-Office (SoCal Preferred)
We are a client-focused law firm serving a broad range of individuals and businesses—from personal injury clients to real estate developers, contractors, engineers, architects, and property owners and tenants across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. We are currently seeking a dedicated Unlawful Detainer Associate to join our growing litigation team.
About the Role
This role is ideal for an attorney with at least 2 years of experience in unlawful detainer litigation who is ready to take ownership of cases and grow within a supportive, fast-paced environment. You’ll handle a variety of tasks including drafting and amending complaints, managing discovery, updating clients, and making court appearances. For those with interest and potential, trial training is available.
This is an in-office position to start, with flexibility for hybrid work once rapport and trust are established. However, a long-term in-office presence is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Review and amend unlawful detainer complaints
Provide regular status updates to clients
Draft and respond to discovery requests
Conduct depositions (as needed)
Represent clients in court appearances
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and effective case resolution
Qualifications
Must be licensed to practice law in California
Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
Minimum 2+ years of experience in unlawful detainer litigation
Strong legal writing, research, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently
Interest in trial work is a plus—trial training available
Commitment to in-office collaboration, especially during the initial phase
