Associate Attorney

We are actively recruiting for a mid-level attorney to join our client's growing headquarters in San Diego. This career opportunity is with a prominent California firm that has 50+ attorneys across three office locations. This is a newly created position based on the growth of the firm and healthy book of business.

The partners are seeking an associate with specific labor and employment defense experience. Their other practice areas include general liability, professional liability, class & complex litigation, business litigation and education counseling among others. Interested attorneys should have significant experience in discovery and law and motion practice and be comfortable handling all stages of litigation up to and including trial. The firm has an excellent reputation defending clients on individual and class matters, in arbitration and before state and federal employment agencies.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research and provide legal counsel on labor and employment matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
• Conduct depositions and argue motions in court
• Provide legal advice on PAGA and FEHA matters
• Draft correspondence and serve as primary point of contact for clients.
