We are seeking a dynamic, passionate, and dedicated Permanent Associate Attorney to join our esteemed legal team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced attorney who is eager to apply their legal expertise in a challenging and rewarding environment. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of tasks, including legal research, legal writing, insurance matters, drafting legal documents, and depositions. They will have the chance to work on a broad range of cases, providing them with a diverse and stimulating workload. This position requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Associate Attorney, you will:
1. Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy development.
2. Prepare and draft a wide range of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and agreements.
3. Represent clients in court, presenting evidence to support the client's case and arguing on their behalf.
4. Handle depositions, interrogatories, and discovery requests, ensuring all responses are accurate and timely.
5. Provide legal advice on insurance matters, interpreting policies, and advising clients on their rights and obligations.
6. Collaborate with the legal team, paralegals, and other staff to ensure the smooth running of cases.
7. Stay updated with the latest legal trends and developments, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must:
1. Hold a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Have a minimum of 3+ years of experience as an attorney, preferably with a focus on insurance law.
3. Be a member in good standing of the state bar.
4. Possess excellent legal research and writing skills, with a proven ability to draft complex legal documents.
5. Have extensive experience conducting depositions and handling discovery requests.
6. Demonstrate a deep understanding of insurance law and policy interpretation.
7. Possess excellent negotiation and advocacy skills.
8. Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively.
