Job Details

The primary role of the Associate Director, Clinical Trials (CT) Project Management is to work effectively across multiple departments to direct the delivery of global projects on-time with a focus on operational excellence. This position will provide direct supervision, support, training and mentoring to project managers and work with leadership in all functional areas on continuous improvement of business processes. This position will also represent Leadership at key client and strategic meetings.

ATTRIBUTES

Bachelor's degree required with a healthcare or scientific concentration preferred.
Five years of Clinical Trials Project Manager experience or a minimum of five years of project management experience in a similar field required.
Global/international experience preferred.
Clinical operation experience with metrics reporting strongly preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Management. Oversees and is accountable for the daily activities of global project team members to initiate new clinical trial protocols and supports existing trials in accordance with client requirements and regulatory compliance. Participates in the hiring of new project management staff and oversees the training and onboarding of the staff to ensure compliance with all policies and procedures. Accountable for the line management and retention of an assigned project management team that consists of various levels of project managers. Provides ongoing coaching and mentorship supported by routine performance metrics to identify clear performance feedback and career development plans.
Client Management. Facilitates communication with designated clients as a point of escalation or strategic point of contact to ensure client delivers best in class service. Represents client global project management leadership at key client meetings, audits or strategic discussions as needed.
Process Improvement. Contributes to the development or routine review of standard operating procedures for project team functions and processes as needed. Identifies and/or leads cross functional process improvement initiatives to optimize operational capabilities.
Quality & Regulatory. Drives the investigation of errors or non-conformances, the preparation of corrective and preventive action plans (CAPAs) and communication of the same with clients as needed within defined timelines.
