Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

Perform and supervise the analysis, visualization and interpretation of large, complex datasets from a variety of experimental assays, especially bulk and single-cell RNA-seq
Statistical analysis and modeling with a focus on massive design of experiments (DoE) for high-throughput screening and optimization of eRNA constructs
Development and implementation of data processing pipelines
Provide leadership and mentor more junior bioinformatics specialists
Present your results to an interdisciplinary team of experimental, computational biologists and machine learning colleagues at company meetings and strategic program readouts
Work closely with Discovery Biology, Preclinical Development, and Manufacturing teams to drive discovery and development efforts
Maintain scientific and technical expertise through familiarity with scientific literature and attending conferences
Work closely within an entrepreneurial, highly-collaborative, interdisciplinary, and fast-paced environment and willingness to change the status quo

Qualifications:

Advanced degree in bioinformatics, computational biology or genomics with expertise in RNA biology
Hands-on experience with a broad range of current bioinformatics and computational biology tools, methods, and applications
Knowledge of molecular biology, especially as related to translatable RNA
Experience leveraging data from large-scale, open repositories and integrating datasets to mine for deeper insights
Fluency in Python and R, including packages in the scientific computing stack
Experience with software development, including version control, unit and integration testing, documentation, and deployment
Experience with high performance computing and cloud computing platforms
Drug discovery experience in the field of RNA Therapeutics within industry is preferred
Experience having at least 1 direct report in the past
GitHub repository or publications that can showcase your skills
Demonstrated ability in working with highly skilled teams in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and technical environment
Excellent communication, scientific writing, and presentation skills
