Job Details

  • Manage all stages of labor and employment litigation, including case assessment, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
  • Develop case strategies, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents, and conduct thorough legal research.
  • Handle employment disputes, including discrimination and retaliation claims, wage and hour litigation, and workplace investigations.
  • Draft and review employee handbooks, policies, and employment agreements.
  • Counsel employers on compliance with federal and state employment laws and best practices.
  • Conduct workplace training sessions and internal investigations for employers.
  • Represent clients in hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials, ensuring effective advocacy.
  • Provide strategic legal counsel, staying informed on emerging labor and employment law trends.
  • Negotiate settlements, manage disputes, and cultivate strong client relationships.
  • Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff to deliver successful legal outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active FL Bar license.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of labor and employment law experience, including litigation.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Proven expertise in motion practice, discovery disputes, and trial preparation.
  • Experience handling labor and employment trials (first or second chair preferred).
