We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Attorney specializing in Wage and Hour laws to join our dynamic sales team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on complex wage and hour issues, providing legal guidance, and ensuring our company maintains compliance with all relevant state and federal laws. You will be an integral part of our team, working closely with the sales department and other key stakeholders to ensure our practices align with legal standards. This role requires a deep understanding of wage and hour laws, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards.
Responsibilities
As a Permanent Attorney - Wage and Hour, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Providing legal advice and guidance on a wide range of wage and hour issues, including but not limited to overtime, minimum wage, meal and rest breaks, and recordkeeping requirements.
2. Conducting thorough legal research and analysis related to wage and hour laws and regulations.
3. Drafting, reviewing, and revising company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with wage and hour laws.
4. Representing the company in wage and hour disputes, including investigations, negotiations, and litigation.
5. Training and educating the sales team and other relevant staff on wage and hour regulations and company policies.
6. Keeping abreast of developments in wage and hour laws and updating company policies and procedures as necessary.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Attorney - Wage and Hour position will possess the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Active membership in the California State Bar.
3. A minimum of 3 years of experience as an attorney, with a strong focus on wage and hour laws.
4. Demonstrated experience with wage and hour violations and wage laws.
5. Proven track record of successfully handling wage and hour disputes, including litigation.
6. Excellent legal research and writing skills.
7. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-lawyers.
8. High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
