This exciting role will be instrumental in providing legal support and guidance for a range of energy-related matters, including commercial real estate, corporate real estate, and construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for navigating complex legal matters, drafting and negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Provide expert legal counsel on all aspects of energy law, including commercial and corporate real estate, and construction.
2. Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts and agreements related to energy projects, including leases, purchase agreements, and construction contracts.
3. Ensure all business practices, policies, and dealings meet or exceed regulatory requirements across all jurisdictions.
4. Represent the company in legal proceedings, if necessary.
5. Collaborate with the legal team and other departments to ensure legal compliance and strategic alignment.
6. Advise on legal and regulatory developments impacting the energy industry.
7. Manage and mitigate legal risks by designing and implementing company policies and procedures.
8. Develop and deliver training to the company on relevant legal issues.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Commercial Real Estate Attorney, Corporate Real Estate Attorney, or Construction Attorney, preferably within the energy sector.
3. Admission to the state bar.
4. Comprehensive understanding of energy law, commercial and corporate real estate law, and construction law.
5. Demonstrated ability to draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.
6. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations impacting the energy industry.
7. Excellent legal research, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
8. Ability to effectively communicate complex legal matters to non-legal personnel.
9. Proven ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
10. High ethical standards and professional integrity.
