Based in Deerfield, IL, we're seeking an Audit Manager to join our growing firm. We offer accounting, audit, tax, and advisory services to both small businesses and individuals situated across the area. Our focus revolves around delivering inventive and forward-thinking solutions to our clientele, achieved by staying fully informed about shifts in accounting and tax regulations. Requirements:

• 8+ Years Experience in Public Accounting Audit
• CPA required (if no CPA but fit other requirements, can be eligible for Audit Supervisor role)
• Non-Profit Experience required

Responsibilities:

Instills client trust while efficiently overseeing a portfolio of clients and their respective projects.
Formulates and takes responsibility for crafting engagement work plans, ensuring that designated tasks and obligations are met within the allocated budget.
Strategically plans, coordinates, and manages a multitude of responsibilities and resources to realize both client and firm business objectives.
Guides and nurtures team members, aiding them in reaching their maximum potential.
Collaborates with the engagement team and Practice Leader to proactively address engagement and technical challenges, interpret new industry standards, and assess and implement effective solutions.
Anticipates and communicates budget-related issues, along with identifying opportunities to enhance engagement profitability.
Prepares invoices and contributes to the collection process.
Demonstrates effective leadership within engagements by accomplishing the following tasks:
Thoroughly reviewing and preparing precise financial statements, footnote disclosures, and management letter comments.
Assisting with engagement logistics, such as developing audit programs and customized procedures, creating budgets, and crafting engagement letters.
Establishing efficient work schedules through adept project management techniques.
Conducting research and in-depth analysis of financial statement and audit-related matters.
Generating reports that highlight issues and potential solutions, and presenting these reports during client board and committee meetings.
