Job Details
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
You should have most of the following:
- Lead multiple Not-for-Profit audit engagements simultaneously
- Guide audit planning, fieldwork, and reporting of findings
- Maintain strong client communication and satisfaction
- Analyze internal control processes and develop recommendations
- Supervise staff and review audit work for accuracy and compliance
- Prepare financial statements, footnotes, and supplemental reports
- Mentor junior team members and provide real-time feedback
- Research complex accounting matters using internal tools
- Apply technical standards such as GAAP, GAAS, and FASB
- Track budgets and manage timelines for client deliverables
You should have most of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; MS in Accounting a plus
- Active CPA license required
- Minimum 7 years of progressive audit experience in public accounting
- Experience leading Not-for-Profit audits required
- Knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, FASB regulations; Single Audit experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, ProSystem, CCH
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and supervise teams
- Must be able to work onsite in NYC and travel locally to client locations
