In this role, the B2B Sample Design Lead will source the right participants for high-impact research within the tech space and lead Emerald’s rapidly evolving POV on commercial research sampling. This role will be critical in helping research managers ensure that they are talking to the right people and improving our approach with every project. The ideal candidate will easily understand tech vernacular, confidently manage sample vendors and ask all the questions to best support the research.

Be a B2B Sample Maven; easily talk “business” with online sample providers
Have an understanding of niche audiences such as developers, CISOs, and IT Decision Makers
Be comfortable communicating with sampling partners and have a strong ability to sense when something might be ‘too good to be true’
Monitor the efficiency of vendors, keep track of vendor performance and KPIs
Build an organizational system to know what each partner specializes in, how much they typically cost etc.
Ensure that our partners are providing high-quality participants and understand what high vs. low quality looks like
Grow relationships with our existing partners along with build relationships with new ones
Rise to the challenge of being tasked with finding a hard-to-find audience
Collaborate with all levels of the Emerald team and Harris Ops; confidently advocate for necessary changes or for your big ideas
An organizational Leader, take ownership for every project that comes your way and are always thoughtful in the work you create.
Ability to put yourself in a research manager’s shoes and have the analytical skills to uncover new ways to improve our sampling process
Continually research and hunt for new partners and methods that could transform how we find and interview professionals
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience
5+ years of experience in market research with considerable B2B panel industry & pricing knowledge
Solid customer service and consulting skills
Strong time management and organizational skills
Vendor relationship experience and management
Comfortable working with tech clients and with tech jargon
Ability to handle multiple projects while maintaining a high level of quality
Self-motivator with an interest and enthusiasm for research and problem solving
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Must be willing to work West Coast (Pacific Time) hours
