Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Provide comprehensive legal advice to our banking and financial services clients, including reviewing and negotiating commercial loans, credit agreements, and secured transactions.
2. Develop and implement legal strategies to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
3. Represent the company in legal proceedings, including litigation and regulatory investigations.
4. Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents and contracts related to banking and financial services.
5. Work closely with other members of the legal team, as well as stakeholders from other departments, to ensure the company's legal interests are protected and advanced.
6. Stay up-to-date with developments in banking and financial law, and advise the company on potential impacts and necessary actions.
7. Provide training to company employees on legal matters related to banking and financial services.
Qualifications:
1. JD degree from an accredited law school is required.
2. Must be a member in good standing of the Missouri Bar.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Lending Attorney or similar role within the legal industry.
4. Extensive knowledge and experience with commercial loans, credit agreements, and secured transactions.
5. Proven ability to provide high-quality legal advice and services in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
6. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely explain complex legal issues to non-legal audiences.
8. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and quality.
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound legal judgments.
10. High level of integrity and professional ethics.
