Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert legal counsel in all aspects of bankruptcy law, restructuring law, and insolvency law.
  • Represent clients in Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases.
  • Advise on business bankruptcy matters and reorganizations.
  • Protect and enforce creditors' rights and debtors' rights.
  • Handle adversary proceedings and contested matters in bankruptcy cases.
  • Appear and argue cases in Bankruptcy Court, Delaware Chancery Court, and Federal Court.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft comprehensive legal briefs.
  • Prepare and draft motions for various court proceedings.
  • Prepare for trials, including gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and developing strategies.
  • Stay updated on developments in bankruptcy and insolvency law and adapt strategies accordingly.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Must be a member in good standing of the Delaware Bar.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Bankruptcy Attorney, Insolvency Attorney, or Bankruptcy and Reorganizations Associate.
  • Proven experience in Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 cases, business bankruptcy, creditors' rights, debtors' rights, reorganizations, adversary proceedings, and contested matters.
  • Extensive knowledge of bankruptcy law, restructuring law, and insolvency law.
  • Experience appearing and arguing cases in Bankruptcy Court, Delaware Chancery Court, and Federal Court.
  • Exceptional legal research, brief writing, and motion drafting skills.
  • Excellent trial preparation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure situations and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
