Job Details:

Our healthcare facility is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and highly skilled Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional care to our patients who are dealing with mental health conditions or behavioral problems. This role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement comprehensive care plans for patients. This is a full-time position that requires flexibility to work different shifts, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify physical, psychological, and social needs.
2. Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
3. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.
4. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
5. Monitor and document patient progress regularly, adjusting care plans as necessary.
6. Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families.
7. Advocate for patients' rights and needs.
8. Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
9. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients at all times.
10. Participate in continuous education and training opportunities to stay current with the latest behavioral health nursing practices and standards.

Qualifications:

1. Current and valid RN license in the state of practice.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Behavioral Health RN.
3. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
4. Exceptional clinical skills with a solid understanding of behavioral health nursing practices and standards.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
6. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Knowledge of current medications and treatments used in behavioral health.
9. Compassionate and caring nature with the ability to deal with stressful and emotional situations.
10. Flexibility to work different shifts, including nights and weekends.
11. Current BLS and ACLS certification.
12. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality at all times in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
