Job Details

Develops and expands departmental initiatives, including but not limited to: Health and Welfare, Retirement, Work/Life Balance, and Benefits Education and Communication
Manage the design, implementation, administration, communication, and ongoing evaluation of the organization’s compensation, benefits program and 401K retirement program, policies, and procedures.
Ensures that the compensation and benefit programs support the organizations business objectives and meets all legal requirements, including reporting, disclosure, testing, and other regulatory requirements.
Knowledgeable about and stays current on employee engagement and wellbeing best practices, vendors, tools, and solutions to advise leadership
Documents, implements, and evaluates key departmental processes
Establish metrics for reporting on activities, programs, and campaigns to measure success/return on investment (ROI)
Oversee payroll functions to ensure they are compliant, efficient, and current with relevant laws and internal policies
Grow and oversee company remuneration policies and programs, including survey participation, job evaluation, salary structure development, base pay administration, salary planning, incentive plan design, and analysis.
Work in collaboration with the HR Director to implement a performance management process and refine the compensation process to align with the overall corporate pay for performance strategy.
Analyze positions to ascertain the scope of employee responsibilities and requirements through development of job descriptions, job classifications, and job mapping in support of management and within legal compliance.
Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions to ensure compliance.
Serve as escalation resource for employee benefit questions, including verifying eligibility, plan interpretation, and troubleshooting other issues as needed.

Bachelor's degree in human resources management, business administration, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience as a compensation and benefits manager or in a related role.
Relevant certifications, such as a CEBS or SHRM certification, preferred.
Extensive knowledge of benefits and compensation programs, policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Experience managing benefits and compensation in a Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Strong people and project management skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
