BIM Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced BIM Design Engineer with Electrical and hopefully Fire Alarm experience to join our team. This role involves handling a wide range of design and development tasks related to electrical systems. You will be working on state-of-the-art projects, utilizing the latest technologies and systems. Responsibilities:

1. Develop and design comprehensive electrical models using BIM (Building Information Modeling) software.
2. Use software such as AutoCAD, Revit, AutoCAD 3D for designing, drafting, and visualizing electrical systems.
3. Design and implement low voltage electrical systems in compliance with NFPA standards.
4. Develop and manage fire alarm systems, ensuring they meet NICET standards.
5. Utilize Vesda systems in the design and implementation of smoke detection and fire suppression systems.
6. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers to ensure project goals are met.
7. Review and analyze specifications, blueprints, and drawings for project feasibility and accuracy.
8. Perform calculations, simulations, and analysis for system design optimization.
9. Provide technical support for installation teams during the implementation phase.
10. Keep abreast of the latest advancements in the field and integrate them into designs where appropriate.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3+ years of experience in BIM Electrical Design Engineering.
3. Proficiency in BIM software, AutoCAD, Revit, and AutoCAD 3D.
4. Experience in designing and implementing low voltage electrical systems.
5. Knowledge of NFPA standards and their application in electrical system design.
6. Experience with Vesda systems and fire alarm systems design in compliance with NICET standards.
7. Strong understanding of CAD Drafting.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
9. Ability to work collaboratively in a team as well as independently.
10. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
11. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
12. Proactive in keeping up with industry trends and advancements.
