Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in the engineering industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong background in selling into government agencies for wastewater/water and/or transportation projects . As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving our business growth by identifying new opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and developing strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities:
1. Identify and develop new business opportunities in the engineering industry, focusing on wastewater, water, and transportation sectors.
2. Leverage your engineering background to understand and address clients' needs effectively.
3. Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to achieve sales goals and expand our client base.
4. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
5. Collaborate with the engineering and sales teams to align business development strategies with company goals.
6. Conduct market research and analysis to understand industry trends and competitive landscape.
7. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
8. Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations and proposals to potential clients and partners.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred.
2. Minimum of 7 years of experience in a business development role in the engineering industry, with a strong focus on wastewater, water, and transportation sectors.
3. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
4. In-depth knowledge of the engineering industry, market dynamics, and customer needs.
5. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
6. Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
7. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and team members.
8. Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Willingness to travel as required for client meetings, industry events, etc. throughout Texas.
10. Must have valid Drivers License.
