Located in the San Antonio we are an industry leading manufacturer of high end electronics products! Currently, we are hiring for a Buyer with experience working in a fast paced manufacturing environment to support our Supply Chain team.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for purchasing and managing material flow to support production. These may various electrical parts, electronic components, plastics, metals, and other materials.
• Analyzes and maintains ERP daily to ensure optimum material is purchased and in stock
• Manage purchase order process including creating PO's and updating vendors and suppliers accordingly
• Responsible for managing vendor relationships - domestic and international - and updating on any status or delivery changes
• Negotiates contracts for material and sources new material and suppliers when needed
• Responsible for forecasting and planning designated commodities
• Partner with other Buyers, Planners, and SCM to establish and maintain vendor relationships

Requirements:

• AAS Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering disciplines preferred
• 3+ years of Purchasing experience in manufacturing
• Experience purchasing raw materials such as electronic parts and components, plastics, metals, etc.
• Previous experience working with both international and domestic vendors
• Strong negotiating and sourcing skills
• Excellent communication skills written and verbal
• Experience with SAP or other ERP system
