A bit about us:

Our client is a multiple location services company providing crucial operations to communities throughout Chicagoland. They have been operating for over 20 years and are on pace to double their business size by year's end!

They are seeking a CFO to oversee all accounting/finance operations and help build out the internal team below them.

Requirements: Previous Private Equity or Commercial Laundromat experience. CPA highly preferred. For the right candidate, this can easily be a 100% remote position!

Job Details

Responsibilities

Own and scale the monthly corporate close and financial reporting process, including reviewing and preparing journal entries, reconciliations, financial schedules
Manage and improve the corporate expense process, including approving invoices and reviewing T&E
Support varied cross-functional projects, including the development of internal control systems, process automation initiatives, audit support, and consolidating and reporting the results of all operating companies/locations
Perform month-end and year-end close activities including bank reconciliations / POS system reconciliations/credit card reconciliations
Provide supporting analysis for technical accounting research and ad-hoc Corporate Development initiatives
Oversight / Collaboration / Management of 3rd party tax/bookkeeping providers
AR/AP management
Payroll management
Expense reimbursement management
Commission calculation/management
Development of internal cash management controls
Management of weekly cash flow forecasting (we have existing templates)
Development/management of rolling budget/forecast
Weekly KPI reporting (we have existing templates)

What you will bring to the table

You are very familiar with accounting systems, tools, and close processes in a scaled, rigorous internal control environment
You have experience with complex consolidations, and/or technical accounting implementations (ASC 606, ASC 842, CECL)
You have experience compiling and reviewing financial statements and supporting schedules

Qualifications

You have a Bachelor of Accounting and 4+ years' experience in any of the following:
Audit or accounting advisory (e.g., technical accounting, transaction advisory) Accounting or financial reporting in high-growth startup environment
Expert Quickbooks online
You have significant experience with developing, testing, or auditing SEC-compliant systems of internal control over financial reporting
You are quick with communication via email and slack and Asana
You are nice – we spend a lot of time working so we want to be on a team with nice people
You can communicate well using English (even if you are not a native English speaker)
You are meticulous about checking your work for factual errors.
You are very organized and you can use Google Drive
